I had been a dancer all my life. My hips were causing me so much pain that I couldn't even get in and out of the car without pain! I had to use a cane to walk from my car to work. Now, I am dancing again! I have done light ballet, and even some Tai Chi! The minute to minute progress you experience with this surgery is what kept me going. I even had a nick name on the floor - Wonder Woman! This surgery really defined the difference between living and existing!

I had pain in both knees. My first surgery was done on my left knee. Just going shopping was a difficult task. It took all of my energy just to walk around the stores! The surgery is definitely worth it - that is why I had my second surgery on my right knee. Now I can really enjoy shopping - pain free!

I could not have been more pleased with the experience of total knee replacement. After two weeks, the physical therapy became less and less painful almost daily. At home, I diligently did all my exercises recommended by the physical therapist. I went from a walker to a cane one week after surgery, and stopped using the cane after another week. Four months out, I was doing straight leg lifts!

Pain prevented my golfing game. Even walking and sleeping at night was painful. I had my first THR on 2/11/2003, then my second on 7/31/2006. This time around I was playing golf in three months. I now can golf two times a week. I walk daily and now able to work in the garden!

Before surgery I was walking with a lot of pain! It was affecting my other knee and back. I was virtually pain free in three months!

I don't have the bad pain anymore! I am walking better now and sleeping better at night. I used to favor my left leg because of the pain in my right leg. Now, I do not have to favor my left leg, which has made a difference!
